Atletico Madrid have eliminated Barcelona from the Champions League with a 2-0 victory at the Vincente Calderon, which gave the Madrid side a 3-2 aggregate victory in the quarter-final tie between both clubs.

Atletico’s victory ends Barca’s attempt to become the first club to defend the Champions League title in its present format and leave the Catalan side’s season in trouble.
