Upn Task Buhari On Agriculture, Re-Opening Of Borders and Others To Fix Economic Recession.

Speaking at the programme organized by Community For Defence of Human Rights (CDHR) in conjunction with Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC) on the 21st of September 2016, the Ogun State Chairman while speaking with journalists cheated the Federal Government led by President Muhammad Buhari to diversify Nigerian source of income from Oil to Agriculture.

She said Agriculture is our mother and the oldest occupation which have been giving hope to Nigerians,  she said recalling the days and lifetime of PA. Awolowo,  Cocoa was Nigeria source of income in which he used it in building the Cocoa house at Ibadan,  N.T.A, Free Education, Establishment of Universities e.t.c.

She noted that loans should be available to small scale farmers without collateral,  she also charged the extension workers to discharge their duties in ensuring proper monitoring and due efficiency in the distribution of fertilizers, chemicals e.t.c.

She also said land as a gift of nature should be made available to them,  she also charge President Muhammad Buhari to intensify in his corruption eradication by making sure investigation is done to the board in charge of distributing basic amenities needed for the survival of Agriculture Business.

She further explained that the need for Re-opening of borders is necessary and germane especially in a time like this,  she said opening of the borders will help in subsidising the high cost of rice and also give room for competitive market thereby kicking against a one man show.

Finally she said that if President Muhammad Buhari insist on closing the border, then at least three years should be given to make sure our Rice mills and it's production are up to the standard and adequately functional to at least feed the nation and save us from hunger.
