Crime! Two Arrested For Raping Pawpaw Seller In Ogun State (PHOTO)

The ogun police command have arrested two men, Yusuf, 29, and Musa Abubakar, 25, for allegedly raping a 23 year old pawpaw seller in the state.

In a statement issued by the Ogun police public relations officer, he said “the victim was hawking sliced pawpaw fruit along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, when Yusuf Ezekiel lured her into his apartment on the pretence that they wanted to buy pawpaw from her”

According to the PPRO, “it was while she was shouting that the people around came to her rescue and subsequently reported to the police.

The DPO of Ojodu Abiodun, SP Bamidele Job, quickly dispatched detectives to the scene and two suspects were promptly arrested.

“The Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, has directed that the case be transferred to Anti-human Trafficking and Child Labour Unit of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, CIID, for further investigation and prosecution.”
