Fresh Bomb Explosion Rocks Maiduguri, Many Feared Dead

A bomb explosion has occurred in a mosque at the University of Maiduguri, Borno State. According to reports, it occured this morning while some students and staff of the university were observing prayer at 6:30 am.

 

One of the casualties was Prof Mani, a professor of Veterinary Medicine.

 

An update has it that the attack was carried out by a suicide bomber leading to the death of 5 people while 20 others were injured.

 

Security forces have been mobilized to the scene of the attack.
