Senator Abu Ibrahim of the all progressive congress, kaduna chapter has explained vividly why he was stoned by irate protesters in his constituency last Saturday. Following the stoning event, the APC senator blamed his political opponents for the disruption of the rally in Funtua, Katsina state. A Katsina house of assembly member Amiru Tukur also narrowly escaped after the event turn the other way round.


The News Agency of Nigeria reports that it took a combined team of security personnel to rescue notable politicians, including the governor’s entourage, as they came under attack from protesters.

Stones and shoes were reportedly used in attacking the dignitaries.
In an interview with NAN on Monday, Mr. Ibrahim who is the Senate committee chairman on Police Affairs said he is hale and hearty and was unharmed.

The Sad story emerged after a Nigerian police shot a FUTA student dead during a peaceful protest. The deceased, identified as Julius Adeniran was home for the holiday when he yesterday, joined the Igbara Odo youth in a peaceful protest.. The policemen who tried to disrupt the protest shot into the crowd to disperse them, but unfortunately the bullet hit the 500 level student of FUTA.

His friends shared the sad news on Facebook and wrote tributes to mourn the deceased. One of his friends, Olowolafe Mayowa Samuel, wrote:
“Good Friday turned a bad one here. Son of man fell and pool of tears was inevitably instigated today in my hometown.My brother, late Ayilumo Julius was an indigene of Igbara Odo Ekiti, a 500level student of FUTA and a youth with a never giving up spirit. He loved me so much and he believed in the future of our hometown. He was shot and killed today by police officers while the officers were trying to halt a peaceful protest staged by Igbara Odo youths.Bro.your sudden death makes me realise how ephemeral life is. May God have mercy on you and forgive you of your sins, RIP. I love you prince Jul.”

Protesting youths at Sobo bus stop, Akowonjo, Lagos State, went on the rampage on Thursday after a mobile policeman shot dead a 23-year-old man, identified only as Niyi, aka Para.
As some operatives reportedly whisked away the killer cop in a van, the protesters resorted to violence, vandalising a hotel, shops and vehicles parked by the roadside in the area.

Punch learnt that the policeman was one of the security officers attached to the hotel – Erico Bellisima Hotels – which is located some distance away from the bus stop.

A version of the story said Niyi had been at loggerheads with a friend, identified only as Santo, over a sum of N5.2m Niyi sent to him in tranches for safekeeping while he was in South Africa.

The deceased returned from South Africa last week to reclaim the money after he was told that Santo converted it to personal use.

Another account stated that the money was Niyi’s share of an undisclosed deal carried out by Santo on his behalf.

After failed attempts to get the sum from Santo, he was said to have reported the case to policemen at a division in the neighbourhood.

The policemen reportedly told him to alert them once he sighted Santo in the hotel, where he always stayed.

Around 7am on Thursday, Niyi and his friends reportedly visited the hotel to verify if he was there.

A resident of the area, Segun Ajayi, said Niyi was into an undisclosed Internet business, through which he realised the money.

He said, “Niyi had not been in the country for a while. He just returned last week. While he was in South Africa, he did a job and told his friend, Santo, to help him pick up some money which was about N5.2m. He told him to keep the money. But before he came back, Santo had started spending it.’’

Policemen from the Area M Command, Idimu; Shasha Police Station, Rapid Response Squad and Lagos State Task Force on Environmental and Special Offences (Enforcement) Unit, were on the ground to restore normalcy.

Anti-Hameed Ali Protesters took over Onitsha’ street in Anambra this afternoon
The protesters are alleging disrespect of the National Assembly by the Comptroller-General of Customs, Hameed Ali and are demanding that he be sacked with immediate effect.

At least eight people were arrested in Portland, Oregon, after a small group protesting President Donald Trump clashed with the police.

The demonstrators, who did not have a permit, spilled out onto the streets outside the Federal Building and failed to heed the warnings of police in tactical gear.

The protest was just one of several held across the country as part of the 'not my Presidents' Day' rallies against Trump.

Planned marches took place in New York, Los Angeles, Washington DC, Chicago and Salt Lake City to mark President's Day while unofficial demonstrations with the same theme cropped up elsewhere.


Protesters even greeted the president on the route from his Mar-a-Lago home to Palm Beach Airport where he boarded Air Force One to return to Washington DC in the afternoon. 

Police warned demonstrators in Portland on Monday about blocking the roads near Madison Street and SW 3rd Avenue at around 11am.

At least eight people were arrested after police failed to clear the streets for about 20 minutes.

Footage of the arrests show several people pressed to the ground with their arms behind them. Among them was an elderly woman with a bloodied nose after she was knocked to the ground and arrested.

Ben Thomas questioned whether the police were exercising excessive force, telling the local news channel: 'She was blocking traffic, but is that really worth knocking her to the ground to arrest her? I don't think so.'

At least one woman was shot with 'non lethal projectiles', reports also say.

African Queen crooner and frontline Nigerian Musician, Innocent Idibia formerly known as 2Face now 2Baba has decided that ‘enough is enough’ in Nigeria and he wants to protest. However, before you decide to join bandwagon of this ‘popular’ protest, these are 10 points to note:

1. With all Due Respect, 2Face is Part of the Problem

It is said that ‘he who comes to equity must come with clean hands’. 2Face by coindence had his wedding during the tenure of Goodluck Jonathan and the then Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Godswill Akpabio took it upon himself to present exotic cars and other lavish gifts to the couple. Now, unless you can assure me that at least the majority of Akwa Ibom indigenes getting married under the Akpabio administration in Akwa Ibom got the same treatment, you can easily see how 2Baba and Annie Idibia not rejecting such gifts is just part of the culture of waste and abuse of power that Nigeria suffers from till today.

2. 2Face Had Access to Power and Did Little Advocacy With It 

2Face is from Otukpo, the same town with former Senate President, David Mark. He is very close to the Distinguished Senator. For all the time Senator David Mark was President of the Senate between 2007-2015, 2Face never put it on record that Nigerians deserved more than they were getting. He simply hobnobbed with the No.3 citizen, often present at Senator Mark’s Otukpo home. Like he identified in his statement, Nigerians have been suffering since 1999 but when he had the opportunity to influence the country’s leadership, he did next to nothing to help create change. His newly found zeal for advocacy is coming rather late and conveniently too, Senator Mark is no longer Senate President. Remember that Nigeria earned its highest revenues ever estimated to be at least N51 trillion under former President Goodluck Jonathan, a great part of which was wasted or outrightly stolen by members of that administration. This kind of advocacy and activism would have helped at the time when ‘stealing was not corruption’. Holding it at this point is a bit suspect especially when it is clear that wholesale reforms are needed in Nigeria.

3. There are Smarter Ways to Engage Our Leaders to Make Change 

There are a lot of public hearings held by the National Assembly on issues before bills are passed and signed into law, the same with public hearings on different issues. Curiously, 2Face has never thought it a good idea to engage with the system. Other young Nigerians are working to form their own political parties to contest elections and take power because they feel they can do better. These are constructive means of engaging the system to create change or influence.

4. We Do Not Need Disruptive Street Protests for the Government to Know Nigerians are Suffering 

Does 2Face listen to the radio, watch TV or read the comments of Nigerians on online fora? I say this not to undermine his right to protest peacefully with his supporters but to puncture his argument that the street protest is required to bring issues facing Nigerians to government’s attention.

5. A Good Way to Get Change is to Create It 

I really do not think 2Face is a strategic thinker because for someone with his international acclaim and success, he has not created any major platform through which he can affect a large number of people. He is from Benue State, a state famed as the ‘food basket of the nation’. Yet 2Face has not thought it fit to key into the current government’s programme to promote agriculture but actively investing in it. This is a simple and powerful signal 2Face could have used to mobilize his teeming followers to change their mindset about agriculture with great multiplier effect on the economy and helping to improve the life of youths. You say that is the job of government? I do not dispute that government has the duty primarily to do this but as we see across the world, individuals can help bring about positive change as well. At the very least they do not increase tension in an already tense society.

6. After the Protest What Next? 

After the ‘fun and games’ of the protest, what next? The government will still go ahead to try to implement its plans for the country as best it can as nations are not developed on the basis of contrived protests but on proper planning and implementation of sound strategies. If 2Face and his supporters are not presenting strategic plans to the government and engaging with it for their implementation, they are just embarking on a disruptive jamboree in the name of protest. [/b]

7. Where are We Coming From? 

We are coming from a period of recklessness which I have already pointed out in the early part of this article, from Boko Haram holding large chunks of territory to unending fuel scarcity as well as impunity in our daily life. These and other problems will not disappear in a day especially when saboteurs are still trying to retain the entrenched status quo. It helps not to distract an already overburdened government with more issues that can be replaced with more constructive and patriotic activities.

8. What is 2Face’s End Game?

You might believe he just wants good governance but if you are good at deductive reasoning you will understand that if 2Face truly wanted good governance that badly, he would have taken some steps at certain critical points in time, he did not. Now that he is, do you really understand why he is coming out to protest? Unless you do not mind being a tool in a grand plot, you might want to ‘look before you leap’ (in protest).

9. Do your Parents or Loved Ones Know Where You are Going? 

It is only irresponsible people that think solely of themselves in taking decisions. Have you discussed your plans to protest with your parents if you are still under them, your spouse if you are married or those close to you if you are single and living alone? Why do I ask this question? You would expect them to help get you out of trouble if the police and other security agencies decide that you should be arrested? If you do not mind being arrested, are you sure they do not mind the stress of trying to get you released if arrested?

10. You Could Lose Your Life 

I am not attempting to scare you with death here because we will all die one way or the other. However, what I am pointing out is the fact that you could lose your life in this protest and then ask you if you think Nigeria’s problems are so great that they are worth dying for? 2Face has recognition by the different security agencies, some of them may even be fans, they are unlikely to ‘accidentally discharge’ bulllets towards him, the same does not apply to you. If it gets ugly, you are more exposed. If you think the issues and the risk is worth it, go ahead but if you do not think so, find other ways of expressing your unhappiness or concerns about the state of the nation.

The Nigerian Police, yesterday, said it would not allow the anti-government protest planned by popular music star, Innocent Idibia, (2Face Idibia) to hold in Lagos, just as Ekiti State Governor and Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Governors Forum, Mr Ayodele Fayose; lawyer and human rights activist, Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa; among other Nigerians, insisted that Nigerians have a right to freedom of expression.

The popular Afro-Pop artiste, 2Face Idibia, had earlier in the week, called for the support of his fans and colleagues via his social media platforms to join his march against the crippling economic state of the nation. The protest is slated for February 6, 2017.


In a video posted on his Facebook account on Tuesday, 2Face urged Nigerians to come out in a “peaceful and articulate manner” for the march, adding that “the need for urgent solutions to the challenges facing Nigerians has become very clear. Things are not getting better for the majority, we are still where we are, poor and desperate. I will no longer be quiet.”

The group coordinating the protest, @EiENigeria, wrote in its Twitter handle: “In view of the latest police update, how do we proceed with the march? Protest continues as planned. #IStandWiithNigeria.

Our leaders owe us their ears too and they must hear us. This march is about connecting the government with the citizens.”



We ‘ll arrest him, if… —Police

But the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, said the command will not let the protest hold in the metropolis. Owoseni said intelligence reports indicates that criminals might hijack the process to wreak havoc in Lagos.

He said: “Information reaching us revealed that some hoodlums are planning to hijack the peaceful protest and at such, we won’t allow it to hold in Lagos. We know that Tuface does not have the capacity to contain such a crowd and we will not fold our hands and watch while things go out of hand,” Owoseni said.

According to him, “no matter how good an intention is, hoodlums would always find a way to harass, rob and attack innocent members of the public who may wish to go about their lawful duties.

Owoseni had earlier said, the protest planners have not officially notified the police of their plan, stressing that the police encourage civil society groups to inform the force anytime they want to stage a protest because of their safety and that of others, as hoodlums seize such medium to perpetrate evil. The Police, however, threatened to arrest the singer if he dares hold the protest.

Fayose, Adegboruwa react
Reacting to Owoseni’s position, Governor Fayose reminded the commissioner that “the duty of the police to secure Nigerians is mandatory, not optional. Therefore, if there is any intelligence report suggesting the possibility of criminals hijacking the process, it is the duty of the police to provide security cover for the protesters.”

In a statement by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, Governor Fayose noted that the All Progressives Congress, APC-led Federal Government must be made to understand that leadership is about accountability and to be accountable, leaders must listen to public opinion either by civil or peaceful protest.”

Fayose continuing, said: “Court of Appeal affirmed in its judgment in Inspector General of Police Vs All Nigerians Peoples Party that protest or gathering do not require police permit or interference as obtainable in an advanced democracy.

“Most importantly, the protest is said to be for and about good governance. So who is afraid of the protest? Who does the police represent or is representing in this issue?” Justifying the protest, the governor said: “Nigerians are hungry and angry, our currency is now above N500 to $1. If Nigerians want to show their anger, no one should prevent them. Nepotism, extra judicial killings, disobedience to court order and human rights abuses must stop.

“The conscience is an open wound and the guilty is afraid. If the APC-led Federal Government is now acting as if the protest is against it, it means the federal government has accepted to be guilty as charged. Like I said before, I support the protest.

Also, lawyer and human rights activist, Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa called the bluff of the Police Commissioner, asking him to get a copy of the Nigerian constitution to guide his actions instead of threatening to cut short the wishes of the masses.

This is also as Niger Delta ex militants have pledged support to the protest, saying it is the best way to go. The ex militants vowed to heed the 2Face call for peaceful protest if it would call the attention of the government to the plight of Nigerians.

Adegboruwa said: “I have read reports credited to the Lagos State Commissioner of Police declaring that the rally slated for Lagos on Monday February 6, 2017, will not hold. I consider this to be an attempt to intimidate those who wish to partake in the rally, otherwise it cannot be a message for us veterans and indeed the deprived, oppressed and hungry people of Nigeria.

“For the information of the Police Commissioner, Nigeria is a democratic country governed strictly in accordance with the provisions of the 1999 Constitution. Section 39 of the Constitution grants freedom of expression, including the right to be heard and to disseminate information and ideas. Section 40 grants the right to associate and gather together. Section 38 grants the right to freedom of movement and peaceful assembly. I believe that Mr Fatai Owoseni has a copy of the Constitution, to guide his actions and utterances on this matter, instead of threatening 2Baba and law abiding citizens, who are responsible for his salary.”

He reminded Owoseni that the issue of police permit for citizens to gather freely expired with the coming into force of the 1999 Constitution and that hinging on it to deny people right to gather was like going back to the military era of shutting up citizens from legitimate expressions.

“I therefore, urge the good people of Nigeria, especially those who reside in Lagos, to join us en mass at Ikeja, for the rally on February 6, 2017. We cannot be intimidated in our own country, by the same people who are paid to protect us.

“This is not a rally by miscreants or thugs as to warrant the fears being expressed by the police commissioner. The statutory duty of the police is to offer us protection on Monday and help to maintain orderliness, throughout the period of the rally.

So come rain or shine, we shall hold the rally on Monday, as scheduled, because it is illegal for the police to seek to ban a lawful assembly,” Adegboruwa added.

The Lagos State Police Commissioner Fatai Owoseni on Wednesday said he will not allow the planned protest against the Federal Government slated for February 5 to hold in the state.

Popular musician, TuFace Idibia who joined the call for protest by some concerned Nigerians over the state of the nation, had used his social media platforms to appeal to his supporters to join the movement.

But Owoseni, who had earlier stated that there was no official request from the protesters notifying security agencies of their plan, said Wednesday that intelligence report indicates that criminals might hijack the process.

According to the police chief, the command wasn’t ready for that kind of demonstration and as such would not allow it to hold 

He said no matter how good an intention is, hoodlums would always find a way to harass, rob and attack innocent members of the public, who may wish to go about their Lawful duty.

Owoseni said: “Information reaching us revealed that some hoodlums are planning to hijack the peaceful protest. And as such, we won’t allow it to hold in Lagos. We know that Tuface do not have the capacity to contain such a crowd and we will not fold our hands and watch while things go out of hand.”

At a press conference held earlier in the week, Owoseni said: “The Civil Society had said that they do not need police permission to carry out any peaceful protest, but they should also be aware that there might be those who share an opposing view. This set of persons may want to disrupt the peaceful demonstration and would want to attack demonstrators.

“This is why we advise individuals or group of persons who may wish to embark on civil demonstration to inform the police so that adequate security arrangement would be provided.”

If some can’t see the sense in the march Tuface is organizing why must they insist on exposing their ignorance on our social highway. If him like make e get 7 kids with 3 babymamas, what has that got to do with the price of garri in the market?
Has TuFace not been actively involved in the demand for good governance before now? So why is it that he has ulterior motives now.
Until we fraustrated Nigerians begin to stand up and fight for good governance at all Level, we go soon chop sand sand. 
I am from Oguta in Imo State; I am doing my little bit in empowering the youths, Mothers, Market Women and Disadvantaged people who have no access to a simple normal life. I am also using the Njiko Carnival under The Justice Oputa Foundation to promote not just the historical heritage of the Oguta people, but also the Magnificent Oguta Blue Lake and environs as a tourisim hub in Nigeria, most times with my money. Yet, some people go dey cause me, some just dey like read meanings into my action like say dem dey my mind. But una know say I no send anybody.
We could never have sank this low if it wasn’t for our inactions, our docility and our Mumuness. 
I support mass mobilisation, mass movement, citizen advocacy, the fight, struggle for a better country and the drive to Emancipate the mind of Nigerians.  I Believe that is what my guy Tuface Idibia wants too.  So we must all commot.
A chain is only as strong as its weakest link.
We are stronger when many speak together as one voice.
We are stronger when we think in the same direction
we are stronger when we project our common values
we are stronger when we are oblivious of tribe/religion in our decision making.
Anyhow, anywhere any day I go show, because Na our future we they fight for. Since last year me and some exceptional nigerian youths are also putting together The Mother of all rally’s to be held in Abuja. We must see the end of this nonsense.
Pikin wey say him mama no go rest, him too no go sleep. We they come, them go know how far. Am calling on all celebrities wey get mouth to speak out and fall out. Everybody wey dey fraustrated with this country must show, enough is enough.
I believe that the biggest  threat to governance in Nigeria are the criminal Governors; their stooges at the local government level. The Nigerian National Assembly that is forever breaking Laws instead of making them and the Judiciary where Justice is now for the Highest Bidder. Una go hearam,
The many agencies under the Executive like the CBN; NNPC; RMAFC; Finance and others need to be pressured to introduce accountability into governance. So we all must begin to face those Governor who have Collected Several Bailouts from the Federal Government and Looted them; Those Governors who are taking Security Votes and Looting them; Those Governors who go to the Ministry of Finance Monthly to Collect FAAC Allocations and Loot them; Those Governors who are Refusing to Pay Salaries but have no Problem Chartering Private Jets worth Tens of Millions of Naira. 
We must stop hailing the Corrupt and destroyers of our Dreams; We must Expose and ridicule them. We must be audacious in our Demands; we must be Fearless in our Agitation and we must be ready to sacrifice for this Country. Nothing will happen unless we change this our Mumu mindset that has rendered us hopeless.
The divisive politics that we play, is our Enemy; The Nigerian People are the Victim and it is time to channel our anger towards a Peaceful Revolution. We must stop being the victims and become THE FEAR.
If our yeye Leaders no fear us, change no go come.
Very soon they will no longer be able to enjoy all that stolen money in this country again.

Ewetola Abdulramon, a 400-level student of the Department of Agricultural Economics of the Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED), and National President of the Nigeria University of Education Students Association (NUESA), has been suspended indefinitely from TASUED for his role in a protest held earlier this month.

In a speech last Saturday he lamented the decision of the school management merely because he led a peaceful protest where no property of the school was damaged and no school activity was interrupted.

He noted that NUESA, the headquarter of which is located in TASUED, has also been banned from operating within the institution because of the same protest that led to his suspension.

“The school management held an emergency meeting because of the protest held and as an outcome of the meeting, my executives and I are being threatened that we will not graduate from the school,” Abdulramon said.

Questioning the legality of his suspension, he affirmed that peaceful protest is a human right provided for in the 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. 

 Abdulramon further noted that he is currently under “tactical” suspension, stating that he is unable to access his personal student portal, which would automatically disqualify him for registering and partaking in the semester examinations and lead to an additional year for him in school.

The student leader revealed that he has been getting various calls from lecturers and other students’ leaders disclosing that the school authorities do not want him to graduate from the institution at the appropriate time, and lamented that the action of the school would also deprive him of the opportunity to graduate with a first class grade, for which he is currently in line.

“I keep hearing that I will not graduate from TASUED and my result is being held up. Both the Vice Chancellor, Professor Oluyemisi Oluremi Obilade, and Deputy Vice Chancellor, Professor Abayomi Arigbabu, keep threatening me day by day that I will never graduate. My Head of Department (HOD) has also been instructed to disturb me and ensure that I do not graduate.” 

Of the anti-poor policies of the Ogun State government and the management of Tai Solarin University of Education, he said: “Students are being extorted and the rate of extortion is too high. Newly admitted students into undergraduate programmes pay [an] acceptance fee of 40,000, tuition fees of 76,500 and additional tax clearance of 10,000.”

SaharaReporters also gathered that post-graduate students pay as much as 150,000 plus an acceptance fee of 40,000 naira. 

Comparing the current standard of education to how it was in the recent past when the current crop of political leaders received free education, Mr. Ewetola concluded that this generation of students has no choice than to manage to learn in an unconducive environment with poor facilities and learning tools and equipment. 

He therefore called on the federal government to intervene in his matter and ensure he graduates from TASUED.

“I have been on scholarship which I won from Jiboku Abayomi Foundation due to incapability of my parents to fund my education, yet I am being threatened by school management that I will not graduate. Federal government and every human rights activist should please come to our rescue and ensure that my executive and I are reinstated and we enjoy every right and privilege a student of TASUED is entitled to.”

The official statement on the postponement goes thus:

Hello my fellow Nigerians…

Since the idea of a nationwide march was first mentioned, the need for urgent solutions to the challenges facing Nigerians has become very clear. The people have hoped for a better Nigeria since 1999 but things are not getting any better for the majority. We are still where we are – poor and desperate. I will be no longer be quiet.

I want to thank EiE, The 2face Foundation, numerous colleagues and countless fellow Nigerians for stepping up to partner with me. I am just a musician with a point of view and the ear of my fans.

I have dedicated my time and resources to peace building, voter education towards peaceful elections and youth engagement in governance in Nigeria. This time around, my partners, colleagues and I have come together to present a platform for real Nigerians to communicate their real pains to government at all levels in a peaceful and articulate manner with a view to getting lasting solutions to our problems.

This march is about demanding that all saboteurs of good government policies should hands off.
This march is about encouraging positive minded Nigerians to continue to work without intimidation.
We have a system that is clearly designed not to work for the majority.

What is this march not about?
It is not a platform for politicians of any party to manipulate. I know you will still spin it but for one second leave your battles aside and just listen to people without trying to score cheap political points against one another. It is not a point scoring exercise. It is certainly not personal.

It is not an organized labour platform. With all due respect to our comrades who have done much for Nigeria, this march is for the unrepresented.

It is not a ‘my religion or tribe is better than yours’ matter. All our blood is red.

I, Innocent Idibia, am a living example of a Nigerian who owes their success to Nigerians of every tribe and religion. None ask what religion or tribe I am before supporting me. I am grateful.
Therefore, it is with every sense of humility that I say that with this march, I want:

1) Security
All Nigerians’ lives MUST matter. My religion, ethnicity or what part of the country I live shouldn’t determine the type of protection I get from my government.
According to the Constitution, ‘the security and welfare of the people shall be the primary purpose of government.’

2) Education
To develop beyond oil, we have to invest in our human capital. Every child must have access to quality education. If our teachers are not paid, how will we raise the next generation to lead the country and run our businesses?

3) Health
Health is wealth. People die daily from lack of basic, affordable health care. We can definitely do better.

4) Power
Government needs to make it easier to generate power at the state and local government level so everything is not tied to the center. We need electricity to be productive. The cost of generating our own power is crippling.

5) Unemployment
Poor education plus a struggling economy means a lot of people are unemployed. Unemployed people are hungry and angry.

6) High cost of living
Food, transportation, medicine, everything is 3 times, 4 times more expensive but our salaries haven’t increased. What do we do

7) Social Justice
According to the Constitution, ‘The Federal Republic of Nigeria shall be a State based on the principles of democracy and social justice.’
There cannot be one set of rules for the poor and another set for the rich.
Transparency
The best way to kill corruption is to increase transparency. Government finances and contracts must be open and available to all. Who got the money, to do what and by when?

9) Cost of government
Our governance is TOO expensive – federal, state, local – cars, housing, allowances. We must reduce the cost of maintaining our public officials

10) Patriotism
I stand with Nigeria. There is enough in Nigeria for all of us to ‘chop belleful’. Enough is enough. We must put Nigeria first and keep all the greedy & selfish people away from leadership.

Governor Ayo Fayose has declared that he will be partaking in the upcoming nationwide protest led by popular singer, Tuface Idibia.

In a post on his Twitter handle, Governor Fayose said the organisers have his full backing to launch the protest which they said will be “massive”.

“To organisers of Feb. 5 “Enough is Enough” National Protest, you have my total support and I will be part of the protest,” the governor said.

Reggae artist and songwriter, Blackface has taken to his Twitter account to appeal to the Nigerian public to ignore the protest call of 2Face Idibia.
 
Blackface has described the cause as a 'useless and baseless' one that could be unsafe for Nigerians in this 'sensitive period'.
 
The singer who has since fallen out with 2Face despite reconciliation moves corroborated a rumour that the protest is being sponsored by faceless Nigerian politicians using 2Face as the frontman.
 
"Don't go out to protest against anything people! it is useless and baseless especially in this sensitive period,dont be used by politicians" he tweeted.
